How to Assemble Your Timber Roots Cedar Planter

Your Timber Roots cedar planter has been designed for simple, straightforward assembly. The precision-cut components fit together using our slot-and-rail construction, so no tools are required for assembling the planter body.

Before starting, unpack all components and assemble the planter on a clean, level surface close to where it will ultimately be used.

Important: If you ordered optional castor wheels, install them before filling the planter with soil.

Before beginning assembly, check that you have all the components supplied with your Timber Roots cedar planter.

If ordered: 4 × swivel castor wheels with brakes and mounting screws.

Identify Your Components

Lay out all components before assembly. The four corner legs are easily identified by their vertical slots. The longer rails and panels form the long sides of the planter; the shorter rails and panels form the ends.

Assembly Instructions

Follow the steps below in order. Ensure that the slots in all four corner legs face inward toward the centre of the planter.

Step 1 — Position the Corner Legs

Place the four corner legs upright on a clean, level surface in the approximate position of the finished planter. Ensure that the vertical slots in each leg face inward toward the centre.

Install the Bottom Rails

Insert the two long bottom rails into the lower slots of the corner legs, followed by the two short bottom rails. Press each rail firmly downward until it is fully seated in the corresponding slots.

When complete, the four bottom rails should form a rectangular frame connecting all four corner legs.

Tip: Do not install the top rails yet. The side panels must be inserted before the top rails are fitted.
